WOLF! Starring Scott Metzger, Announces New ‘Adult Entertainment’ EP, Shares Single ‘Ratso’

After a six-year hiatus, WOLF! with Scott Metzger, Jon Shaw and Taylor Floreth are back with a new EP, titled Adult entertainment, which will be released on October 28 via Royal Potato Family. Along with the announcement, the trio shared a new single from the upcoming six-track, “Ratso,” listen now.

The next extended game from WOLF! was recorded at Restoration Sound in Brooklyn, NY, and was mixed by Chris Connors. Combining elements of surf rockabilly with a sense of ’60s boogaloo and a heavy dose of experimentation, the band’s debut offering, “Ratso,” is an ideal introduction to a music ensemble steeped in deep instrumentation.

The band also shared that their upcoming track “Hawaiian Shirt” features Metzger’s Joe Russo’s Almost Dead bandmate Marco Benevento on the Farfisa organ. Additional songs from the EP include “Hey Francis”, the cheerful “Cottonmouth” and the expansive “Patty Cake”. In total, the EP is comprised of six tracks that showcase the set’s unique instrumental ability as a powerful setup.

“WOLF! has something. There’s an innate chemistry when the three of us play,” Metzger reveals via a press release. “I don’t hear anyone else really playing instrumental music like this right now. moment. It’s a guitar-centric band, but it’s not about guitar solos or fancy chops. It’s about three guys in a room making music in real time that feels good, you get it the first time you hear it. I think we all need a bit of that these days,” he concluded.

Additionally, the band have also shared dates for a short east coast jaunt that will begin in early October, when they descend on Brooklyn, New York’s The Sultan Room on October 6, followed by a concert on October 7 at Stage One. in Fairfield. , Conn. The last stops will take WOLF! in Pembroke, Mass., for a show at Soundcheck Studios on October 8, before the final concert on October 9 at Still Partners in Sea Cliff, NY
