
MTV Entertainment Studios today announced that it is continuing to expand its strong animation lineup with the exciting addition of Everybody still hates Chrisa re-imagined animated version of superstar Chris Rock’s popular award-winning family show Everybody Hates Chris. The new series, which also draws inspiration from the beloved comic’s teenage years, has a straightforward order.
Executive produced by Rock and alongside Sanjay Shah (king of the hill, South Park, central park), which will act as showrunner, Ali LeRoi, Michael Rotenberg and Dave Becky, produced by, CBS Studios and 3 Arts Entertainment, the new half-hour animated series Everybody still hates Chriswill feature Rock telling stories inspired by his experiences as a scrawny nerd in a large, working-class family in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn in the late 1980s.
Building on the success of its adult animation catalog and following the celebration of the 25th anniversary of South Park, Everybody still hates Chris joins MTV Entertainment Studios, a comedy series produced by Andy Samberg previously announced Digger!, Jodiea spin-off film from the iconic Daria franchise starring Tracee Ellis Ross in the lead role, and the return of the film and series from Beavis and Butthead.

Rock serves as executive producer on the series alongside Sanjay Shah, who will serve as showrunner, and Ali LeRoi, Michael Rotenberg and Dave Becky. Everybody Hates Chris won an NAACP Image Award for his writing in 2007 and was also nominated for a Golden Globe and multiple Emmy Awards.

It’s official everyone, Paramount has won the Summer 2022 Streaming Wars. South Park and Beavis and Butthead, to be rumored to be the new home of the clone high reboot, and a bunch of new series on the way, Paramount+ is THE streamer to get this summer for adult animation fans and it’s not even close.
