Corus Expands Canada’s # 1 Entertainment Show With Weekend Green Light ET Canada

Entertainment Tonight Canada, Canada’s # 1 entertainment news series *, expands with the new green-lit one-hour weekend edition, ET Canada Weekend, hosted by Sangita Patel. Airing Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. on Global, ET Canada Weekend premieres on September 18, offering in-depth celebrity interviews and exclusive reporting, while bringing Canadian audiences the biggest news of the week. The show will also be broadcast live and on demand on STACKTV or the Global TV app, in addition to full episodes of ET Canada’s weekday edition.
Since joining ET Canada in 2014, Sangita has been broadcasting entertainment news and traveling the world interviewing Hollywood’s biggest stars including Julia Roberts, Dwayne Johnson, Viola Davis, George Clooney, Helen Mirren. and more. In 2019, Sangita was named the Face of COVERGIRL’s Simply Ageless Collection and continues to be the COVERGIRL Ambassador of Canada. Determined to use her national platform to shine the spotlight on the organizations she cares about, she supports Pathways to Education, Children’s Wish and ONE Campaign. Most recently, Sangita ran ET Canada’s HELP INDIA special as India battled the country’s worst COVID-19 crisis, bringing together some of the biggest names in entertainment to help raise more than $ 135,000 for them.
