
A WEEKLY entertainment show covering movies, music and TV returns to screens from Friday.
What’s On Scotland, which first aired on STV in 2019, returns with a 19-week series, presented by duo Emma Cameron and Laura Boyd.

Each week, the pair will be joined by some of the biggest names in showbiz.
A host of rising stars will also appear, to discuss the wealth of entertainment taking place across the country in the first summer since Covid restrictions on public gatherings were eased.
Fresh from his sold-out concert at the Eden Court Theater in Inverness, comedian Alan Carr appears in Friday’s kick-off episode to discuss his UK stand-up tour and the hilarious moment he stole the show from Adele on her STV music special last year.
Meanwhile, Outlander actor Sam Heughan will come to discuss the cult show as well as his entirely different new role alongside James Nesbitt and Richard E. Grant in Channel 4’s thriller Suspect.


What’s On Scotland will also highlight the best movies and TV shows to watch each week, as well as all the hottest concerts, shows and festivals that will light up Scotland over the coming weekend.
Laura said: “Entertainment is officially back on the agenda! After two years of thin cultural selections thanks to Covid, the summer of 2022 is going to be one hell of a ride in Scotland, with live concerts, touring theater performances and Hollywood blockbusters returning in droves.
“As an entertainment journalist, I really feel like all my Christmases are about to arrive at once, and I can’t wait to help viewers plan their own entertainment feasts with our guide. jam-packed with “what’s happening” every week on STV.”
Emma added: “I can’t believe it’s been three years since we launched the What’s On Scotland studio and brought the glitz and glamor of Scotland’s entertainment scene straight into viewers’ living rooms.
“Talking to some of the biggest stars and most promising new talent every Friday is something I’ve really missed, so I’m delighted to join Laura in bringing What’s On Scotland back to the screens for another summer of fun. “


What’s On Scotland begins on STV at 7 p.m. on June 24.
It will be available for streaming on STV Player.
